The worst has happened, and is still happening, and will happen further. I am speechless and desperate. We could see this coming from long back. This is what I felt coming when my eyes were first opened during my stay in Israel back in 1981-1982. This is what was evidently on the way, to anyone with a brief exposure to what Israel said and felt about the Palestinian inhabitants and neighbours, and what they were already doing back in 1982 – a time which seems like a carefree golden age compared to now. But many miles on the road to the current horrors had already been taken, even back then. Now we have a society completely consumed by power and sadism, and completely immune to any reason or sense of humanity. As the wonderful Gabor Mate says, it is as if Auschwitz is on Tik-Tok. Israel is completely unconstrained by any laws or alliances, intoxicated by its destructive power and worse is surely bound to come.
